Just in time for holiday shopping, Buff City Soap is now open in Fort Oglethorpe.
"It's kind of a smaller town, and we wanted to pick somewhere we can grow with the community," brand representative Molly Reidy said.
Every store in the Southern-based lifestyle brand - started in 2013 in Bartlett, Tennessee - has a local owner, she said. The owner of the Fort Oglethorpe location also opened a store in Hixson at Northgate Mall Nov. 16 and plans to open a store in East Brainerd at Hamilton Place mall in January 2021.
Offering soap, bath bombs and other bath products as well as laundry detergent, Buff City is unique in that all of its products are made in the store.
"We have a soap-makery in every location, and every time you come into the store we're going to be making a different product you can see," said Reidy. "It's more than just shopping, but an experience."
Transparency is not only a focus in the way products are made, but also in what goes into them. Everything is 100% plant based and free of harsh ingredients, she said.
Buff City Soap is at 91 Parkway Drive in Fort Oglethorpe and can be reached at 706-956-5343, or visit fortoglethorpega.buffcitysoap.com.
