Forkers BBQ, a catering company since 2015, is now a full-service restaurant on Highway 58.
In addition to providing the option for customers to dine in or take out food, the new space also allows Forkers to take on bigger corporate catering jobs, said co-owner Carla Urffer.
Urffer said she started making barbecue as a hobby, slowly perfecting her method at home and serving the food to friends before sharing it with the public.

Nine years ago, her daughter was in a car accident and Urffer met Johnathan Morgan — now the restaurant's co-owner — who was working in the emergency room. He said smoking the meat over hardwood every day is part of what makes Forkers' barbecue special.
"We stood at that smoker for months to perfect the pulled pork," Urffer said.
For anyone visiting the restaurant for the first time, she recommends trying the pulled pork sandwiches.
Other popular dishes include the barbecue quesadilla and the loaded mac and cheese, which Urffer described as similar to a barbecue stuffed baked potato, but served on mac and cheese instead of a potato.
The restaurant's menu is primarily barbecue, including fusion dishes such as barbecue pizza and the aforementioned quesadilla, but Urffer said they can pretty much make whatever a customer wants when it comes to catering.
The restaurant serves ribs on Fridays and Saturdays, and brisket is available as a special — if you arrive in the first couple of hours before it sells out, said Morgan. Other specials, including baked goods such as maple bacon cupcakes, are listed on the Forkers Facebook page at facebook.com/forkersbbq.
