Sports TalkThroughout the season, Diamond will be screening all the hockey playoffs throughout the spacious billiard club.

Today is Mother’s Day — but the folks at Diamond Billiard Club want to talk about the second-most beloved “M” word: meat, of course.

Famous for its award-winning chicken wings, Diamond does much more than just white meat.

“Every Saturday is steak day,” said General Manager Jesse Howard.

All day each Saturday, Diamond features either hand-cut rib-eye or strip steak. The steak plate, which ranges in price from $12.95-$16.95, comes with two sides. Then, every Monday, Diamond serves its “Mom’s meatloaf” — a dish that blends all the best “M” words into one satisfyingly saucy plate.

And Diamond knows a thing or 13 about refreshing food and drinks. As the season continues to transition, Diamond will add more warm-weather beers to its 13 taps, said Jesse.

“We’re starting to roll in more summer beers — more sours, hefeweizens, juicy IPAs. We’re moving away from the stouts and porters,” he said.

With one local brewery always on tap, at Diamond, it is always a delicious time to raise a glass to Mom.
