The North Shore's Brewhaus is gearing up for a big month - featuring, arguably, the biggest event of the year.

On Sept. 8 and 9, the Moon River Music Festival is coming to Coolidge Park. With big-act headliners such as The Avett Brothers and The Head and The Heart, the concert is already sold out. Lucky for Chattanooga, Brewhaus' front and back porch parties are not.

Located at the edge of Coolidge Park, Brewhaus will host parties in both its front and back parking lots throughout the weekend. Both will include roped-off areas complete with food and beer. In fact, said Brewhaus kitchen manager David "Panda" Sherrill, there will be 15 different craft beers, including fan-favorite brews from Yee-Haw Brewing Company and Ballast Point Brewing Company.

The party in the front lot will showcase a select menu with a variety of hand-held eats - small, soft pretzels and bratwursts, for example.

"Think German hot dog stand," David said.

The back-lot party, which will be co-hosted by neighboring Stone Cup Cafe, will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. That menu will feature dishes such as classic bratwurst breakfast casserole, vegetable quiche and waffles.

Both parties will be for guests 21 and older, unless accompanied by a parent. Both days, festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and end "when the festival ends, or when we run out of beer," said David.

But even then, the party won't truly be over. Throughout the month of September, Brewhaus will continue to celebrate. On Sept. 15, the restaurant will host its seventh anniversary party; Sept. 22 is Oktoberfest; and Sept. 30 is the 140.6 Chattanooga Ironman, which races past Brewhaus' front doors. All three events will include food and beer specials, live music and parking lot parties.

Indeed, the North Shore's Brewhaus is the place to be this end-of-summer season.
