Ferguson saluted as top manager

EPB Chairman Joe Ferguson was recognized as the 2018 Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year during a luncheon at the Chattanoogan hotel in June. He was the 33rd recipient of the annual honor, which was launched in 1986 by area business and management groups to better recognize top business leaders.

Leadership Chattanooga graduates 2018 class

The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Chattanooga program graduated 38 class members in 2018. The grads were recognized during a May luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center where Dr. David Dodson of the philanthropy group MDC talked about the importance of education and economic mobility and the barriers to achieving those dreams.

 

Urban League salutes entrepreneurs

The Urban League of Chattanooga hosted its 5th annual Entrepreneur Power Luncheon in May at the Chattanooga Convention Center to promote minority and women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. Dr. Randall Pinkett, the first African American to win NBC's The Apprentice and currently CEO of the research company BCT Partners, spoke about building businesses in the age of technology.
