On the block: Flexible space available near Volkswagen's Chattanooga production plant

Proximity to Volkswagen's Chattanooga production plant is seen as one of the key attributes of a nearly 42,000-square-foot building on the market.

The structure, at 6130 Preservation Drive, could be used for light industrial, office showroom, warehousing and distribution or flex space, according to commercial real estate broker Ward Sibold of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

The building, zoned M-2, is located just off Bonny Oaks Drive a few miles from the Volkswagen assembly plant at Enterprise South industrial park, according to the broker.

The structure holds 28,389 square feet of warehouse space and about 13,542 square feet of offices. The facility has about 28-foot ceilings, the broker said.

The facility has a sale price of $3.1 million.
