Amy Farlett

Jeff Nixon is named the general administrative manager of Crye-Leike's Chattanooga Region. Nixon is responsible for overseeing the various divisions of the Chattanooga Region and will help in the efforts to increase office growth and productivity. Nixon joined Crye-Leike eight years ago as the managing broker of the Huntsville, AL branch office, later moving to Chattanooga and becoming the sales manager of the Downtown office in 2017. He has held a real estate license since 1995, with experience in accounting, new construction, military moves, corporate relocation and brokerage management.

Dr. Julie Adams joins Erlanger Health Systems. Dr. Adams is a board-certified orthopaedic hand surgeon and Chattanooga native. She attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her pathology residency at the same university and then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Adams went on to be a hand surgeon fellow at Thomas Jefferson University. She also received her master's in orthopaedic research from Mayo Clinic. She has over 75 peer-reviewed publications and has taught at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic, Rochester. Dr. Adams' office is located at the Erlanger Medical Mall in suite C-225.

Sandy Chambers Dittus, a certified financial planner, has joins True North Advisors at Raymond James. Previously, Chambers Dittus worked in the Trust Departments at Pinnacle Financial Partners, FSGBank, Pioneer Bank, First American Bank and AmSouth Bank. She organized the trust department at FSGBank in 2004. Dittus also worked at Raymond James and in public accounting in the tax department of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young. Along with solid experience, Chambers Dittus has a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. Chambers Dittus is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, and Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga.

Destiny Gordon promotes to director of member experience and engagement for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. As director of member experience and engagement, Gordon builds a multi-channel approach to member engagement and oversees the analysis of member experience with Medicare Advantage products. She is also responsible for engaging stakeholders to assess member needs in order to develop initiatives that support community priorities. Gordon has been with BlueCross for more than 20 years and most recently served as manager of member disputes and outreach services. In this role, she oversaw a team of more than 65 employees and led operations for both appeals and grievances and outreach and retention. With her team's support, the Medicare Advantage plan earned a 4-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Sandra Huggins, MSN, FNP-BC, joins CHI Memorial Convenient Care – Signal Mountain. Huggins received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her master's in nursing from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Huggins has previously worked in primary care and urgent care settings.

Amy Farlett, MSN, FNP-C, joins the team of medical providers at Cempa Community Care. Farlett, who has resided in Chattanooga since 2006, joined Cempa in January. She began her career as an obstetrics nurse at Erlanger Health System while simultaneously working to develop a community health outreach program in the Westside of Chattanooga. After graduating with her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from East Tennessee State University, Farlett began a career as a nurse practitioner at CHI Memorial Community Health Clinic.

Robert Clark of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee is named chief investment officer for the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS). Clark, originally from Jackson, has worked since 2012 as portfolio manager with Southeastern Trust Company in Chattanooga. Clark earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the United States Naval Academy and his Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University's Babcock Graduate Management School. He is a certified financial planner and previously served as chief financial officer of Secure Waters, Inc.; vice president of BB&T Wealth Management; a wealth services team leader for SunTrust Bank, and a vice president for AmSouth Bank (now Regions).

Tim Morton joins the Infrastructure Engineering Team of InfoSystems in the capacity of Senior Solutions Architect. A Maryville College graduate, Morton has almost a decade-and-a-half of experience in the information technology space, including stops at Pilot Travel Centers as a programmer and analyst, LBMC Technology Solutions as a network engineer, and Sword & Shield Enterprise Security as an engineer and solutions architect. Related to Morton's cybersecurity responsibilities, InfoSystems launched InfoSystems Protect in July 2019 to meet the growing regional demand for a dedicated cybersecurity partner.

Joseph Helm, attorney, joins the corporate department of Miller & Martin where he works with both the Nashville and Atlanta offices. With a focus on federal and state taxation, Helm's practice includes advising on the tax aspects of business formations, transactions, and reorganizations. He also has a wealth of experience representing business clients before federal and state tax authorities in connection with tax audits and administrative appeals. After earning an honors J.D. at Emory University School of Law and an honors LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, Helm worked for several years in private practice before most recently serving as director of international tax with a Silicon Valley-based vaccine development company. He is a member of the Georgia, District of Columbia, and California bars, with the right to practice pending admission in Tennessee.

Michael R. Coley, CPA, MS-Tax, is named a senior tax manager for HHM CPAs, a full-service certified public accounting and consulting firm with locations in Chattanooga and Memphis. Coley has more than 30 years of experience and, before relocating to Chattanooga, had built an accounting practice in Southern California serving closely-held businesses and their owners. Coley previously managed the tax department for a large Southern California firm that specialized in serving construction industry clients.
