Since he began working from home in March, Zack Woods has missed the in-person interaction with his peers at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, but he has also a very agreeable colleague in Ellie.

"Where I go, she goes," says Woods, whose canine colleague is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who will turn 2 in September. "She's a lapper. She doesn't leave my side."

Woods and Ellie won the Times Free Press work-from-home photo content, sponsored by Unum, and scored a gift basket from Bud Floral and Home.

More than 80 people sent in their work-from-home photos featuring everything from pets (including a chair-hogging pig) and babies to digs that ran the gamut from beautiful views to cramped chaos.

The adjustment to working from home is small stuff compared to another change in plans Woods had to make in March. He planned to be married March 28 at a wedding with 300 guests. Instead, he married Jennifer on that day in a backyard ceremony attended by their parents.

"We had set the date, and I said, 'I am marrying you on that date,'" Woods says. "The wedding party attended through Zoom."

The newlyweds plan a big celebration when things settle down, perhaps in the fall. And Woods is looking forward to life back in BlueCross headquarters on Cameron Hill at some point.

"I'm definitely a people person," Woods says. "I do miss the people I used to get to talk to on the hill a lot."

In the meantime, he's got a fun side project going.

"I've grown one of the best mustaches I've ever had."
