* History: In 1890, the finest German-style beer in the nation flowed from the taps of the Chattanooga Brewing Company. It grew to a six-story brewhouse that occupied an entire block of Broad Street, producing over 150,000 barrels a year, until Prohibition forced the brewery closure. In 2010, nearly a century later, two crafty engineers brought together by their mutual love for beer embarked on an adventure to brew something great in the city they both love. With that, Mark Marcum and Jonathan Clark launched a new chapter for Chattanooga Brewing Company, one rooted in the German-style ales and lagers that put its namesake on the map over 130 years ago.
* Products and Services: Enjoy some brews at the brewery and snack on burgers, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, tenders or wings, just to name a few. The brewery also offers darts, foosball and a shuffleboard table. Find their beers at local bars/restaurants/package stores, or grocery stores. Their core three beers — Faultless American Lager, Hill City IPA and Chestnut Street Brown Ale — are offered year 'round. Chattanooga Brewing also creates a number of seasonal releases like Dynamo Pale Ale, Shamrock City Red Ale, Oktoberfest and Winter Warmer.
* Mission: Chattanooga Brewing Co. takes pride in contributing to the community, from supporting local farmers by hosting the Main Street Farmers Market year 'round, to supporting local artisans/vendors by hosting pop-up markets like the Night Market and Southside Vintage Market from spring to autumn, to donating grain bags to Greensteps for trash cleanup, to hosting fundraisers. For November to December, the brewery will host a drop bin supporting the Chatt Community Fridge.
