The site at 3033 Alton Park Blvd. is located near the FedEx facility and not far from a slew of planned new housing.
The facility has the accompanying requirements for manufacturing such as heavy electrical infrastructure and seven overhead cranes with up to 34-ton capacity, according to Russell Elliott of Pointe Commercial Real Estate.
With a $4.5 million sale price and a building size of 119,346 square feet, the structure offers a 45-foot ceiling and five drive-in bays.

The location is minutes from downtown Chattanooga and just off Interstate 24. The surrounding area has a long industrial history because of proximity and easy access to rail and the Tennessee River, according to the broker.
The facility was built in 1970 and renovated in 2008. FedEx constructed its nearby distribution site in 2008, a $15 million, 163,000-square-foot facility off Alton Park Boulevard.
