A long-time manufacturing facility complete with acreage and close highway access is for sale near downtown Chattanooga.

The 200 Compress St. location sits next to Manufacturers Road in the North Shore district, according to real estate brokers Russell Elliott of Pointe Commercial Real Estate and Cole Vann of KW Cleveland.

The facility, built in 1929, sits on 4.38 acres, has 78,613 square feet and is located directly off of U.S. Highway 27.

With a sale price of $4.9 million, the facility has five overhead cranes with 10-, 15-, and 20-ton capabilities, according to the brokers. Also, the site is equipped with heavy utilities, a fenced lot, storage space and yard.

In addition, the location holds 22 offices, a kitchen and a conference room. There are seven ground-level drive-in doors ranging in size from 12 feet by 14 feet to 18 feet by 20 feet.

The property, which is zoned M-1 Manufacturing, has five total buildings one story in height.
