A longtime East Ridge destination is on the market as a potential buyer could take advantage of the city's popular Border Region Retail Development District state sales tax incentive.

The site at 4134 Ringgold Road has served as an established family buffet restaurant location for decades, according to Judy Holley of Crye-Leike Realtors.

The Jenkins Restaurant property sits in the heart of East Ridge and is in close proximity to the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

At nearly 5,000 square feet, the building also comes with over 70 parking spaces and a sale price of $1.65 million, according to the broker.

Not far away, grocer Food City recently started construction on what officials said is a state-of-the-art, $12 million supermarket that's expected to draw shoppers from nearby Brainerd, East Lake and North Georgia.

That store is to replace one of the company's older supermarkets nearby, and East Ridge offered the sales tax incentive to that project.

In addition, Southern Honda Powersports and Pandora's European Motorsports opened new facilities in 2021 on Ringgold Road.
