Visiting Fayetteville feels like a retreat to a different era. The town square is lined with antique stores and anchored by the old courthouse. A bandstand on the courthouse lawn from the 1800s is still in regular use. While you're in Fayetteville, you can even eat at the old jail!

And since Fayetteville is located just down the road from Lynchburg, it may be the perfect pit stop on your way to the Jack Daniel's Distillery.
