Writer's Festival at Lee

Staged readings of three plays are scheduled today and Saturday as part of a Writer's Festival at Lee University.

The event is sponsored by the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages on the Cleveland, Tenn., campus.

Tonight at 8, Stacey Isom will present a staged reading of "On the 8s," directed by Lisa Neely, in the Edna Minor Conn Theatre, second floor of the Vest Building, 1125 Church St., NE.

The festival will conclude Saturday with the Sigma Tau Delta Symposium from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Humanities Center, 1250 Parker St., NE. The symposium will be followed by staged readings of Jordan Davis' "Elephants" and Jessie Wright's "Night Music," student plays that won the One-Act Play Contest. The readings will be held in the Edna Minor Conn Theatre, with Neely again directing.

All sessions are free. For more information, contact Stacey Isom at sisom@leeuniversity.edu or at 423-614-8669.
