' What: More than 250 people participated in the recent Walk4Hearing on the Tennessee Riverwalk and campus of Chattanooga State Community College. Zounds Hearing and Beltone Hearing Aid Center made the walk memorable for two participants who received a pair of free hearing aids valued at more than $6,000 each. Pre-established rules for these two prizes allowed the hearing aids to be transferred to another person should the winner not need them. Both prizes were eventually given to people other than the initial winners.

' Benefits: The event raised $24,409 , which helps provide programs, services or equipment to people with hearing loss, college scholarships, camp fee assistance for children or adults with hearing loss and captioning of live theater, meetings and events.
