Dinner-show raises funds for arts school
* What: About 300 guests attended Dinner and the Arts, a fundraiser at Center for Creative Arts on Jan. 29. The event included dinner catered by 1885 Grill, a silent auction and a dinner show by 125 CCA students.

Reception, tours open new UTC Library
* What: About 350 students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members attended the grand opening of the new University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library on Jan. 29. The $48 million, five-story library is located on campus at the corner of Vine and Douglas streets. It includes a computer lounge with 142 Window and 36 Mac computers, 37 group study rooms, two practice presentation rooms, two quiet lounges, seven classrooms, eight seminar/conference rooms, 29 faculty and graduate-student carrels, two visiting scholar rooms, one grand reading room and a Starbucks.
