Girls Preparatory School announces that registration is underway for Mad, Bad & Dangerous, an entrepreneurial event specifically designed for girls ages 8 to 18.
The free community event will be held Saturday, March 11, on the GPS campus at 205 Island Ave. The Girls Marketplace and Co.Lab 24Hour Generator will be open to the public from 3 to 6:30 p.m. that day.
Girls wishing to become vendors at the Girls Marketplace should apply online at www.getyourmbd.com. Kendra Stanton Lee, GPS associate director of communications and marketing, encourages girls to apply as soon as possible due to limited space availability.
Registration deadline for Co.Lab's 24Hour Generator is Friday, Feb. 17. Girls from East Tennessee and the North Georgia area will participate in a 24-hour intensive workshop, being mentored and working in teams to solve a business problem. Teams will pitch their solutions during the March 11 event, which is open to the public.
