See Rock City Inc. made a $30,000 donation to Fairyland Elementary School's $150,000 capital campaign. The campaign is to fund a new state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics floating greenhouse on the school's pond. Fairyland has received $110,000 so far toward the goal.

The Aquaponics Learning Lab will provide students with a facility to learn about self-sustaining ecosystems.

"Students will develop skills necessary to grow, harvest and sell completely organic fruits, vegetables and fish, and work to give back to their community through profits raised," said Jeremy Roerdink, Fairyland Elementary School principal.

"Students will also learn to develop a business plan to sell their produce and fish, and market and brand them with assistance from our art teacher."
