Splash Youth Arts Workshop, a free year-round arts workshop for youth in underserved, high-crime areas, has been nominated for a 2019 True Inspiration Award from the Chick-fil-A Foundation and could win $75,000.

The workshop was founded by professional artists Charlie and Lantha Newton. The awards give grants to organizations across the nation working to inspire children and youth in their communities.

You can vote for Splash by downloading the Chick-fil-A app in the App Store or Google Play. Voting continues through Sept. 30. To learn more about the awards, visit www.chick-fil-afoundation.org/true-inspiration-awards.

Splash provides mentoring, caring and guidance to more than 200 youth each year. It is one of ArtsBuild's Community Arts Partners and Mission Support grant recipients and a grantee of the Tennessee Arts Commission.
