God Things: Tell us about your everyday miracles and we'll share your stories on Easter Sunday

In a trio of best-selling books, Squire Rushnell has shared insights into "God Winks." Random events, he suggests, are not mere coincidence but signposts that can help you navigate through life.

A God Wink, he explains at GodWinks.com, "is what some people would call a coincidence, an answered prayer or simply an experience where you'd say, 'Wow, what are the odds of that!'"

Coincidence is not merely a coincidence, he says, but rather a sign of hope. It is the way God speaks directly to you.

Also called God Pokes or God Things, they are the experiences that give you pause and help ground you in the chaos of daily life. Perhaps it's a still small voice that guides a decision; a stranger who suddenly appears with an offer of aid and just as suddenly is gone; or a veil over your vision that is lifted to show you a way forward.

It may be a small shift in the order of things, but it can feel mighty. Maybe not dramatic, but in small ways divine.

Whether we fully understand them or not, God Things/God Winks/God Pokes serve as reminders that even when the haphazard events of our everyday lives consume our thoughts, God is still at work behind the scenes.

Have you experienced a God Thing?
