Food Network's 'Restaurant: Impossible' looking for volunteers ahead of visit to Blue Orleans Restaurant

Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible" is coming to Chattanooga on Thursday-Friday, Dec. 19-20, to tape an episode on revitalizing Blue Orleans Restaurant.

"Restaurant: Impossible" is hosted by Chef Robert Irvine. The premise of the show, and Irvine's challenge, is to save restaurants from impending failure in just two days with only $10,000.

Producers are searching for enthusiastic individuals to work with Irvine and his renovation team as design and construction volunteers.

Volunteers must be licensed or certified in painting, crafting, construction, remodeling, cleaning, decorating, etc. Also, skilled contractors, electricians, plumbers, upholsterers and painters are always welcome to help out and donate their time.

The volunteer schedule is as follows:

* Shift 1. Thursday, Dec. 19, noon-7 p.m.

* Shift 2. Thursday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m.-2 a.m.

* Shift 3. Friday, Dec. 20, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and sign an appearance release and volunteer agreement on-site. Volunteers must wear sneakers or boots and work clothing with no logos. Meals will be provided volunteers.

Anyone who replies to volunteer is guaranteed a spot. Confirmation emails will be sent the day before each day you intend to volunteer.

The public is invited to the grand reopening of Blue Orleans on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m.

Anyone interested in making a reservation for the reopening should email volunteer@restaurantimpossiblevolunteers.com by Monday, Dec. 16, at noon (PST). Use the following in the subject line: 1611 TN RESERVATIONS.

Include your contact information (full name, email address, cell number), party size (number of people at your table) and the names of all people in your party.

NOTE: Production will not cover the cost of your meal; patrons will be responsible for paying their own bills. This event is first-come, first-serve by email, and the production company can't guarantee everyone who responds will get a table. Those selected will receive a confirmation email close to the date of the dinner. Children must be 9 years or older, accompanied by their parents.
