Correspondent MSB provides this week's account of a doubly answered prayer.

In the spring of 1990, I had graduated from Walker Tech with a two-year accounting degree but was unemployed. I answered a blind P.O. Box ad in a Dalton, Georgia, paper. As I sealed the envelope containing my resume and placed it in my mailbox, I said a prayer to find a job.

In the prayer, I asked, "Lord, I can't be there when they open my envelope. Will you let that person know I am the person for this accounting job?"

Several days later, I got a call, and an appointment was made for an interview. I went in, met the owners and was hired.

After two or three weeks on the job, the owner came to me and said, "You are an answer to prayer."

They had prayed for just the right person to fill this job. She told me about 25 people answered the classified ad. As she began to open and read the resumes, she told me when she touched my envelope that God/Holy Spirit spoke to her and said, "This is the person you are looking for to fill the position."

She said it was so strong, she did not bother to open the remaining resumes. She attempted to contact me several times before she reached me.

God is good, and if you are faithful you can discern his voice too.
