Music the main focus of this weekend's events in the Chattanooga region

Music is the main focus of this weekend's events. Enjoy one show virtually, the other live.

- Nightfall: Bassel & The Supernaturals will headline the virtual Nightfall concert on Friday, Aug. 14. Fronted by Bassel Almadani, a first-generation Syrian American, the group is known for soulful melodies, funk-inspired grooves and captivating lyrics that speak of love, loss and the war in Syria.

The show opens at 7 p.m., with a 20-minute set by Chattanooga band The Trinity.

- Chattanooga Unite: Rockabilly artist Jason D. Williams, well-known to Chattanooga audiences for past piano-pounding performances at Riverbend and Riverfront Nights, will headline this live show Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Highway.

Before his show at 9 p.m., audiences can catch two Chattanooga acts: acoustic artist Tim Lewis at 7 p.m. and the Hatcher Phillips Band, playing classic blues and rock, at 8 p.m.
