How will the tri-state's typically busy fall festival season play out in a pandemic year?

We already know that such stalwarts as Prater's Mill Country Fair, Ketner's Mill Country Arts Fair and the New Salem Mountain Festival have been canceled. Other signature events of the season, including the 4 Bridges Arts Festival and the Head of the Hooch rowing regatta, are transitioning to a virtual presence.

But that's only a smattering of the celebrations that normally fill the calendar from September to December. Our 2019 Fall Festival Guide showcased 130 events in cities ranging from Nashville to Birmingham to Atlanta.

The coronavirus may have cleared the calendar of some of our favorite seasonal day trips, but are there others being planned to fill in the gaps? If you are planning a fall event, let us know. We'll run the roundup in our annual guide on Labor Day weekend.

Submit information to Life@timesfreepress.com by noon Wednesday, Sept. 2.
