- Tremont Tavern announced on its Twitter page that it has opened a new private party room. The Tweet reads: The space is located behind the restaurant, and features state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, as well as two 86-inch smart TVs. It has room for 24 seated patrons or 40 people for a social event. #WeFancy #CHAeats

- It happened last month, but Syrup and Eggs moved from it's St. Elmo location into The Dwell at 107 Custom St. It's now open from 7 a.m.to 2 p.m. seven days a week offering breakfast, brunch and lunch.

- Cincinnati-based Rhinegeist Brewery will be offering its beers, fruited ales and ciders in the Chattanooga market on draft and in cans beginning next month. To celebrate, they are hosting a week of tastings, tap takeovers and general "get to know us-ness" in Chattanooga. Find event locations here.

- Han-Mi has replaced Lil Oso at Market South as the food hall's rotating test kitchen. Han Mi is a Korean-American restaurant that will eventually be moving into the space formerly occupied by Mrs. B's Reggae Cafe on Broad Street.

- GiGi's Cupcakes will open at 1925 Gunbarrel Road, Suite 109-E on Feb. 9. The eatery is owned by Dooley and Tasha Swafford and former NFL player Jamar (Fletcher) Isreal
