The July 4 fireworks show at Bradley Square Mall in Cleveland, Tennessee, has been canceled, according to a statement from its sponsors.

"Out of an abundance of caution, care and concern for our community, we at the city of Cleveland, Cleveland Ford and Mt. Olive Ministries have decided to postpone our firework show due to the apparent increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our area," the statement read. "We are considering Labor Day weekend as a possibility, and when a decision has been made, we will notify the community."

However there is an alternative for Cleveland-area residents. Howard Thompson of Howard's Fireworks said his team will have a show near FleaLand FleaMarket, 5527 Highway 64 (Waterlevel Highway).

Thompson said there will be extra parking across the highway at Zion Assembly Church of God, Lloyd's Used Cars and Thomas Metal, "but you better get here by 7 or 8 o'clock or you can't get in" for the crowds.

Thompson said the show typically draws thousands, and he expects more this year now that the other display has been canceled.

Thompson said there will be music and concessions available before the show.
