Fresh off their cooking klatch on "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," country singers Trisha Yearwood and Lauren Alaina will dish on a new musical collaboration today on social media.

After hitting it off when Alaina appeared on an episode of Yearwood's cooking show on Food Network, the two women floated the idea of "singing together sometime," resulting in a newly released version of Alaina's "Getting Good."

"I just love the sentiment of this song," Yearwood said in a news release. "We all have these dreams. What you learn is it's not the goals that you reach that are the things you're really going to remember; it's the journey all along the way. So that lyric - 'once I learn to grow right where I'm planted, maybe that's when life starts getting good' - that's the truth. That's the life lesson."

Alaina said she's "so thankful" to get to share "such an important message with one of the most important and impactful voices in my life."

"Trisha is a beautiful person inside and out," said the Rossville native, who was runner-up on the 10th season of "American Idol." "I'm honored she said yes to this song and to me. I'm learning to grow right where I'm planted, and I'm realizing, life's already good."

The singers will talk about their collaboration at 6:30 p.m. ET on Alaina's Instragram and Facebook Live.

Next up for Alaina is a performance on the "iHeart Country 4th of July BBQ" airing at 8 p.m. July 3 on The CW. She also sings on PBS' "A Capitol Fourth" at 8 p.m. July 4.
