Despite a pandemic and a reported shortage of available fireworks, many organizations and municipalities will have fireworks shows this weekend. If you live in or near downtown, however, you will have to travel, as some of the usual bigger displays there are not happening this year.

Pops on the River at Coolidge Park, which also features the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, is called off this year. Also, the Chattanooga Lookouts are out of town this weekend but have fireworks every Friday night of the season when they are at AT&T Field.

Signal Mountain typically has a big display but will not this year because of doubts related to the pandemic. The town would have needed to order the fireworks six months ago. It is, however, having a barbecue at Althaus Park.

Here's where to catch a fireworks show over the coming days. All displays will start around dark (about 9:30 p.m.) unless otherwise specified.
