It doesn't take much to make mom happy. Just make an effort. Here are a few ways local restaurants can help you show some love over Mother's Day weekend.


Baskin-Robbins: Treat mom to the new Floral Cone Bouquet Cake, made with her favorite cake and ice cream flavors, topped with lavender icing and an edible bouquet. Prices may vary by about $1 depending on location around the Chattanooga and Cleveland area, but expect to pay about $25 for the serves 6-8 cake, $35 for the 12- to 16-serving size. Cracker Barrel: Through Sunday, order the Sunday Homestyle Chicken Family Meal Basket To-Go (or their Family Pancake Meal Basket) for a free $10 bonus card for mom.


Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, 2107 Gunbarrel Road, is offering impressive foods for Mother's Day: filet mignon available all day if you're eating in, and a feast of beef tenderloin or ham to cook and serve at home. You'll need to order by Wednesday for pickup between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday or Sunday. The ready-to-prepare meal will include easy cooking instructions that will go from oven to table in three hours or less. Prices start at $140 for a ham dinner for four to six people, $180 for the tenderloin. You can size up to serve eight to 12 people and add several extras, including mimosa kits.

Public House, 1110 Market St., will have its dining room and covered patio open for its traditional Mother's Day brunch, rather than the curbside service necessitated by the pandemic last year. The meal of "morning food" and "Sunday supper" selections will be served 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $35 for adults, $16 for children 5-12.


Red Lobster: For every $50 spent on Red Lobster gift cards purchased in-restaurant or online through June 30, guests will receive a bonus coupon for $10 off an in-restaurant, to-go or delivery order of $30 or more during July and August.


Rock City Gardens is offering a Mother's Day tea at Grandview, the adjacent Tudor-style event venue. Seatings are offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. while available. You'll dine on tea sandwiches (cucumber salad, pimento cheese, chicken salad), blueberry scones, cheese and fruits and beverages that include Grandview's signature Citrus Blush Punch. Prices range from $25 to $43 and include entry into Rock City to feast on the Southern Blooms Festival.


Tupelo Honey, 1110 Market St., takes pride in serving a scratch-made meal that mom won't have to cook or clean up. The new spring menu includes buttermilk waffles, Rainbow Avocado Bowl and country-style fried chicken and waffles.
