TO DO SUNDAY

* Go railroading: Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum has begun a yearlong celebration of its 60th anniversary. Today and next Saturday and Sunday, TVRM is running its best-known steam engines, Nos. 630 and 4501, on the Missionary Ridge Local, a 55-minute ride from Grand Junction Depot, 4119 Cromwell Road, to the East Chattanooga station and Soule Shops restoration facility. Both weekends also include special exhibits, blacksmith demonstrations and military reenactments. Exhibits, which include "TVRM's First 60 Years," a railroad post office car display and two collections from sponsor Scale Trains, will inaugurate the new exhibits building on the Cromwell Road campus. All-inclusive tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for children 2-12. Or you can visit the grounds, without a train ride, for $17 and $10. Photographers should note that the next two Fridays bring a chance to shoot the museum's steam and diesel collections at night. tvrail.com

* See cars and stars: The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival is still in high gear in the West Village on West Eighth Street. The final day features a showcase of classic cars, called a concours d'elegance, and a Gathering of the Greats: Ferrari Edition, both starting at 8 a.m. Automotive experts will be featured in two panel discussions: an overview of Tucker cars at 9 a.m. and NASCAR/IndyCar and SRX racing as television entertainment at 2 p.m. One-day admission is $39. chattanooga motorcar.com
