Mayor Ron Littlefield rolled out a State of the City speech Thursday that addressed growth, infrastructure and the economy and focused on preparing for those changes.
"It is safe to predict that, in the future, the near future, the places that we call cities will be very different," Mr. Littlefield said. "This city will be very different."
In his speech, Mr. Littlefield talked about instant communication and a society very different than the one he grew up in. He talked of coming growth in the suburbs, building a library that would be a vision for the community and calling to action young professionals.
Mr. Littlefield gave his State of the City address at 5:30 p.m. today at the Doubletree Hotel.
