Chattanooga: Woman thrown from vehicle as she chased robber

Chattanooga police say a 38-year-old woman was thrown from the hood of a getaway car as she chased a teen who'd just robbed her home.

Angela Whitaker told police that an unidentified black male 5 feet 6 inches tall, 175 pounds and about 17 years old appeared in her bedroom, according to a police release.

The suspect punched Ms. Whitaker in the chest, grabbed money from her night stand and fled the Hickory Valley apartment.

Ms. Whitaker chased the suspect to the street and jumped on the hood of a vehicle that was waiting for the robber.

She was thrown from the hood as the driver sped out of the parking lot.

Ms. Whitaker further described the suspect as having a short fade haircut, light brown eyes and acne on his face.

There was no description of the second suspect or the vehicle.

No arrests have been made but police are investigating.
