Chattanooga: Three-car crash on Cherokee Boulevard

A Tuesday afternoon three-car accident on Cherokee Boulevard ended with injuries, police said.

According to Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary, two vehicles on Cherokee Boulevard collided at the Manning Street intersection. A vehicle sitting at the light on Manning Street was hit by the two colliding vehicles, Sgt. Weary said.

Two people were taken to Erlanger hospital, but their conditions are unknown, Sgt. Weary said. Names were not provided to the Times Free Press.

Officials are still investigating the accident, but it appears that one of the vehicles on Cherokee Boulevard failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn onto Manning Street, Sgt. Weary said.
