Chattanooga: Uriah Heep cancels Riverbend show, Brian Howe to take slot

British band Uriah Heep, making its first U.S. tour since 2002, has had to cancel its Friday show at Riverbend due to visa problems, Riverbend officials said.

Brian Howe, former lead singer of Bad Company, will take the 7:45 p.m. slot on the Bud Light Stage.

"Riverbend Festival staff felt that Brian Howe of Bad Company was an excellent replacement for a British rock band," said Festival Production Director Dixie Fuller said. "Howe will put on an equally rocking show, just like we expected from Uriah Heep."

On its website, Uriah Heep said Chattanooga, the first stop on its 10-city U.S. tour, is the only date affected.
