Georgia: Lookout Mountain OKs EPB for cable TV

Lookout Mountain, Ga., commissioners have approved a franchise agreement with EPB for Fi TV service.

EPB spokeswoman Lacie Newton said Friday that the fiber-optic service from EPB will include cable TV, telephone and high-speed Internet and should be available across Lookout Mountain over the next two years.

EPB launched EPB Fiber Optics last September and currently provides services to more than 6,000 customers residing in the cities of Chattanooga, Red Bank and East Ridge.

EPB plans to have services available to all customers within these three city limits by July 2010 and to everyone in its 600-square mile customer service area by summer of 2012.
