Sylvania woman charged with credit card theft

A Sylvania, Ala., woman has been arrested on charges of credit card theft for charges made at her adult novelty store.

Lagina Rebecca Greene, 27, turned herself in to the DeKalb County Sheriff's office on nine counts of fraudulent use of debit and credit card, said the sheriff's spokeswoman Stanna Guice.

The investigation began early in March, when a woman reported her credit card number had been stolen and someone was using her account, Ms. Guice said.

Investigators discovered that the woman's credit card had been used to buy inventory for the shop. Purchases and attempted to purchases totaled $15,000, Ms. Guice said.

Ms. Greene was released from DeKalb County Jail this morning on $67,500 bond.
