Murder victim's body returned to mother

The body of a teenage boy from Chickamauga, Ga., who was killed and beheaded along with his new bride eight years ago will be returned to his family on Friday.

The remains of Adam Chrismer, 17, were held in a Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab pending the trial of Howard Hawk Willis, who was charged with killing Chrismer and his 16-year-old wife, Samantha Leming Chrismer, in 2002.

Willis was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death in a trial in Johnson City in June.

Now Chrismer's body will be returned and his mother Theresa Lynch of Lookout Mountain has arranged services to be held for him at the Wilson's and Sons Funeral home on Oct. 1, officials from the funeral home said.
