Neighbors called authorities around 10:15 a.m. to report the blaze, which quickly escalated and consumed the house, which was valued at $130,000. Homeowner Elizabeth Mayes was not home at the time, and no injuries were reported
The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and under investigation.
