Two in Bradley County arrested, charged with stealing playground equipment

Two men in Bradley County were arrested when they tried to sell stolen playground equipment to a scrap metal dealer, authorities said.

The Alice's Wonderland Daycare on Michigan Avenue School Road alerted authorities on Sunday that bouncer seats had been stolen from the playground, Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Gault said in a news release.

Sheriff's deputies began to contact local scrap metal businesses to see if the equipment had been sold, Gault said.

When Ryan Lee Wiseman, 18, of Dixie Court Drive, and 25-year-old Brandon Leigh Trentham, of Lee Drive, showed up at a scrap metal business on Monday they were arrested, Gault said.

Both were charged with theft over $500, and their bond was set at $5,000 each.
