Chattanooga Fire Training Chief suspended for porn on city computers

A Chattanooga Fire Department training chief will be suspended for 10 days without pay after he reportedly viewed and sent pornographic material on the city's computer system, according to a released statement.

An internal investigation was opened up on Training Chief Mack Moore after a woman came forward on July 23, stating she intended to file a complaint of sexual battery, said fire department spokesman Bruce Garner.

Chattanooga Police Department investigators looked into the complaint because of Moore's high rank and determined the complaint was not sustained, Garner said. In the course of the investigation, however, they learned about the computer violation.

Moore will take the suspension in the next 30 days and attend mandatory counseling through the city's Employee Assistance Program, Garner said.

Moore has been with the Chattanooga Fire Department for nearly 24 years.
