One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Grundy County, officials said late Tuesday night.

At about 3:51 p.m., Tennessee Highway Patrol officers responded to a crash on State Highway 108/Rock Avenue, spokeswoman Dalya Qualls said. One vehicle, occupied by three adults, crossed the center of the road and struck a vehicle occupied by three juveniles, Qualls said.

The three adult passengers were not wearing seat belts, Qualls said, and were taken to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga to be treated for their injuries. One of them died there, Qualls said.

The three juveniles in the other car were wearing seat belts, Qualls said. She said all three were taken to Sewanee Medical Center, treated and released.

None of the victims' names was released.
