A Hamilton County prisoner was recaptured Wednesday after walking away from a job site in Sale Creek, said sheriff spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.

Jeremy Lee Morris fled around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday from his work release job in Sale Creek.

Dispatchers confirmed that the sheriff's deputies began their search around Daugherty Ferry Road and Isles Road by foot and car. Dispatchers also said that dogs likely were used to track Morris.

He was arrested on Feb. 25 for contempt of court.

Reports from Sale Creek were that he took off his orange jumpsuit and was wearing only underwear.
