Multi-county theft ring busted, Alabama sheriff says

A 32-year-old Marshall County, Ala., man has been arrested after a multi-county investigation into a theft ring, DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said today.

Jimmy Lee Hogeland, of the Asbury community in Marshall County, was arrested there and is being held in the Marshall County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property, the sheriff said in a news release.

Hogeland also faces a charge of burglary III in DeKalb County, Harris said.

Authorities from Marshall, DeKalb and Cullman counties took part in the investigation.

"We are glad to get this person in custody and look forward to arresting other individuals in this case," Harris said.
