CLINTON - He did it, Leo Collins said - pouring a lot of money into a historic log home to restore it - "out of an obligation to the past."
For years, Collins said he thought about the dilapidated old house nestled on a knoll at the back of his scenic Bluebird Christmas Tree Farm off Brushy Valley Road.
Tin-roofed, its original logs covered with board, the structure was one of the reasons he purchased the farmland nearly three decades ago.
