Multiple witnesses testified in Sessions Court this morning that Celvin "Squeaky" Houston told them he'd shot someone after two separate incidents in March.

That testimony was enough to send his charges of attempted first-degree murder to the grand jury.

One of the people Houston, 39, is charged with shooting is Chattanooga police Officer William McMillian.

McMillian, 26, was responding to a call at East Lake Courts when he encountered Houston.

Houston shot McMillian in the leg, groin and buttocks before fleeing, prosecutors allege.

After that incident, prosecutors claim Houston robbed a male victim on March 8 at the Hamilton Inn on Rossville Boulevard. During the robbery, the victim later testified, Houston shot him in the leg.
