The second defendant in the 2010 brutal beating death of a local pastor pleaded guilty to facilitation of second-degree murder this morning in Hamilton County Criminal Court.

Brendan Barnes, 19, admitted he and his cousin Antonio Henry, 28, killed Pastor David Strong in October 2010 in the man's home.

Barnes will serve 12 years.

Henry pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on April 9. He will serve 20 years.

Police found the pastor's body shortly after arresting Henry with the man's PT Cruiser and debit cards on Oct. 10. A medical examiner's report showed he'd been beaten to death.

Henry told the Times Free Press in a jail house interview after his arrest that he and Barnes had beaten Strong after the three had smoked marijuana and the pastor propositioned him for sex.
