BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Police in coastal Georgia say four more people have been sickened after smoking synthetic marijuana.
Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering told WTOC-TV Tuesday the number of people who have gotten sick after smoking synthetic marijuana has risen to 12.
Over the weekend, a group of eight people in Brunswick got sick after smoking a synthetic marijuana product called "Crazy Clown." Investigators say they've visited a local smoke shop and seized its inventory.
Doering says some people who used the product suffered intense vomiting, exhibited violent behavior and had difficulty breathing.
Over the weekend, one man who used the drug told the television station that he began vomiting and woke up in a hospital. The man's uncle said a woman who used it began foaming at the mouth.
