Dalton police are looking for 32-year-old Odie Dwain Ellis, their chief suspect in a burglary that occured outside the West Walnut Avenue Wendy's around 1 a.m. on Aug. 24.

Ellis reportedly stole a computer bag and a credit card from two travellers' vehicle, which was parked at Wendy's while the couple ate at the IHOP next door. They were reportedly pulling a trailer and parked next door to avoid taking up parking spaces.

Ellis reportedly stole three Blackberry cellphones, a Samsung Galaxy tablet computer, a lap top, a wedding band, a .38 Smith and Wesson handgun and "approximately $3,000 in cash," police say.

Ellis is a white male with close-cropped hair, police report. According to Dalton police, Ellis ditched the Blackberry devices and the Samsung tablet computer in a truck bed at Walmart on Shugart Road.

Ellis is wanted on ID fraud, entering auto, credit card fraud and credit card fraud charges.

Dalton police ask anyone with knowledge of Ellis' whereabouts to call Det. Chris Tucker at 706-278-9058.
