MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Symphony Orchestra will give a performance That's All Right Mama when it launches a year-long celebration of 60 years of Rock and Roll and a salute to Elvis Presley.

The concerts are scheduled to begin Jan. 11 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Memphis

The highlight of the night will be the Symphony's first-time performance of That's All Right Mama, the tribute Elvis gave to his mom, and the song that many identify as the birth of his legendary music style.

The Terry Mike Jeffrey band will join the orchestra for a night of Elvis songs including Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock and Heartbreak Hotel. Jeffrey is a vocalist and entertainer. He was musical director and held the leading role for "Elvis--An American Musical."
