The Mocs (8-10, 3-2 SoCon) came back from a 19-point deficit with 6:36 to go to force overtime.
Zaccheus mason led UTC with 23 points. Dontay Hampton set a career high with 22 points, and Ronrico White added 17 points.
The Mountaineers were led by 22 points from both Tab Hamilton and Nathan Healy.
